Assessment
School follows a process of evaluation formulated by Central Board of Secondary Education in India.
The core aim of the new rule is to evaluate the every angle of the child during their presence in school the scheme for classes III-VIII has been designed on Term Assessment basis with gradual increase in the learning assessment as the students move forward. This would prepare the students to cover the whole syllabus of the academic year and face the challenge of class X Board examination, and would thus, ensure the ‘quality of education’.
In this new system, students are graded through a series of Curricular and Extra-Curricular activities along with the academics. The detail components of the scheme are mentioned below for easy understanding and implementation.
We have Four Scholastic Assessments and Two Co-Scholastic Assessment.
Internal Assessment carries 40% Weightage and Theory Assessment carries 60% Weightage in the entire Assessments.
Scholastic area is not merely a Pen Paper – Pencil Test. Evaluation is based on the student’s performance in Oral Sessions, Conversations, Assignments, Projects and Quizzes that are conducted periodically and each one of the student is assessed & refers as Internal Assessment.
Internal Assessment includes Multiple Assessment, Portfolio, Subject Enrichment, Dictation & Internal Assessment.
Co-Scholastic Activities
Co-Scholastic Area carries the holistic development of the students, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out by the teachers and will be graded Term -Wise on a 3-Point & 8-Point grading system.
Co-Scholastic – A
Grading Scale for Co-Scholastic Area – A for Classes I-VIII will be graded Term -Wise Exam on a 3-point grading system.
i. Art/Craft : Class Work, Communication, Discipline etc.
ii. Sports : Homework, Projects/ Assignment etc.
iii. Music : Projects/ Assignment etc.

A=Outstanding B=Very Good C=Fair
Co-Scholastic – B
Grading Scale for Co-Scholastic Area – B for Classes III-VIII will be graded Term -Wise Exam on a 8-Point grading system.
The aspects of regularity, sincere participation, and output in teamwork to be the generic criteria for grading in the following area :
i. Work Education : Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community.
ii. Art/Craft Education : Visual & Performing Arts
iii. Health and Physical Education : Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/ etc.
